I did my under-grad in mechanical engineering and a Masters from HAN University, Netherlands, specialising in vehicle dynamics and autonomous systems. Then I pivoted hard. Not because I failed at engineering, but because I found something more interesting: the mechanics of how businesses grow.
At Zomato, I swiftly rose up the ranks across various functions from account management to people management, product management and at my last role there, I was leading a business function, all under three years — owning a ₹100Cr+ P&L, 12 cities, 50+ people, and end-to-end supply, ops, logistics, and product. I built myself to be a Generalist with an operator mindset. Each step was earned by combining data instinct with operational speed.
At Shree Anandhaas (backed by A91 Partners), I took a beloved traditional brand and doubled its digital contribution in 3 months — building the e-commerce stack, launching an application, and defining the brand language from scratch.
What makes me different isn't breadth for its own sake. It's the ability to move fluidly between product thinking, commercial instinct, and people leadership — and make them work as one system, not three silos. Joined to lead e-commerce end-to-end for a VC-backed (A91 Partners) traditional sweets & snacks brand entering its digital growth phase. Owned online ordering, quick commerce, and the D2C website. Launched RFID-based quick checkout to streamline high-volume retail. Defined and standardised brand language across all customer-facing communications.
Led end-to-end supply, operations, logistics, and product across Tamil Nadu. Oversaw 12 cities with ₹100Cr+ monthly turnover. Managed a cross-functional team of 50+ members. Drove consistent GMV growth, improved EBITDA margins significantly within 2 months, and cut per-mile logistics costs through optimised routing and fleet planning.
Led strategic growth initiatives across POI activation, serviceability expansion, and ad delivery optimisation. Directed cross-functional teams to achieve the highest-ever absolute EBITDA and a record-high market share. Drove consistent 20% MoM growth through Q3 2024 and cut average delivery time by 5 minutes through metric-level optimisation.
Spearheaded three verticals: Search & Discovery for Categories, Gen AI-powered cart planning, and healthy nudges for conscious ordering. Led a team of 5 engineers and 3 product analysts. Scaled order scheduling nationwide. Improved search-to-order conversion across Mithai, Ice Cream, and Desserts.
Directed the festival growth charter — customer activation, lapsed user resurrection, and retention. Built a time-limited coupon engine, launched POI-level campaigns across colleges and workplaces, developed behavioural targeting systems, and shipped a viral food persona matching game that drove significant social media engagement.
Revenue ownership, margin management, and market expansion. I think in unit economics — from GOV and EBITDA to per-mile delivery cost — and move quickly from insight to execution. Comfortable owning large numbers and defending them.
